Welcome to The Braided Soul. My name is Joe Altieri. I am a Photographer living in Raleigh, North Carolina and originally from Upstate, NY. Both areas offer so much beauty for those who love to be inspired by nature. I guess you can say I am a bit obsessed with the beauty God has gifted us.
I enjoy taking photographs of things that are nature in subject such as landscapes, flowers, animals and birds.
I was inspired by my father to never ignore your passion. My Dad became a Crafter after retirement. He had a love for bird carving, making stained glass lamps and spending time with paint brushes and canvas. Dad passed in April of 2017 and that is when I decided to live life a little differently.. more time doing what I love and less time worrying about the trivial things.
I find a certain peace and serenity when I am looking at life through a lens. Pictures speak to me and with today's technology, it is now possible to share with the world what I am seeing and feeling.
